Many people have commented on the elegant and unusual
designs. I designed them specifically to be used with the
raised work techniques described in Surface Textures, but
they are also beautiful when used for traditional flat
quilting.
All of the stem and vine work is drawn with a double line
channel which can be corded, if desired. The grapes and
berries are cut as full circles so that they can be accurately
traced and will be beautiful when stuffed. Leaves can be
padded, with vein lines quilted through all layers for subtle
texture. The flowers can be raised with combinations of
padded and stuffed work, as you like.
A few of the designs are seasonal. You may find that others
will complement the mood of the fabrics you have chosen
for your patchwork, or the style of your appliqué design.

flowers because it reminds me of the '60s flower-power
daisy. I love the star/cable and star and feather
combinations which will work beautifully with the new
